What is Airsoft?

Airsoft can seem quite an intimidating hobby for someone who doesn’t know what to expect. But don’t worry that’s where we come in!

Airsoft is a very sociable hobby sport where players are put into teams and given objectives to complete while eliminating enemy players. Typically these are military style scenarios like capturing a position or defending one or more items.

All players use realistic air powered weapons called BB guns to fire small spherical plastic (PLA) projectiles (bb’s) to hit and eliminate enemy players.

What’s the minimum age?

The minimum age we are insured for on airsoft events is 12 years and over but we do also run special Junior Airsoft sessions for ages 8+ which you can find more info on here: Junior Airsoft

Does it hurt? Is it Safe?

Our insurers tell us Airsoft is a lower risk to insure than Golf! And add onto that here at Combat Airsoft safety is our highest priority so you are in safe hands! We have all the latest safety equipment and have a no-nonsense approach to safety.

Everyone experiences a bb hit differently and a lot depends on how many layers of clothing you are wearing but you will know (feel) when you have been hit. Most people liken it to the sensation of a hard pinch that lasts a few seconds the subsides.

I was thinking of booking a group for a special occasion, can we join in?

Absolutely! Airsoft is perfect for Birthdays, Stag/Hen Do’s, Work Days Out or just fun with friends/family. Alternatively if you require something a bit more exclusive you can book a private 3 hour event Monday-Friday or join our main sessions every Saturday Sunday.

Everyone seems to be kitted up and looks like a pro, but I don’t have anything yet! Am I just going to be cannon fodder?

Absolutely not, we’ve got you! Airsoft is a very inclusive activity where everyone is playing for the same reason (that they love it!).

All our staff and site members will go out of there way to make you feel comfortable, safe and included and will guide you every step of they way while offering advice when needed.

All our hire packages include all the kit and equipment you need to play and the bb guns are some of the latest and most reliable out there! All you need are some clothes you don’t mind getting a bit dirty and some sturdy footwear.
